Music & Choir – Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity has a long-standing choral music tradition, helping the church provide uplifting services of worship. The choir, including singers from age eight to eighty, leads the music at weekly Sunday services, eleven months of the year.

Occasional cathedral visits are undertaken by the choir, providing music for services over a weekend stay or longer. These visits are very popular amongst members, enabling us to grow closer as a group and allowing us all to experience some of the most spectacular buildings for choral singing and organ-playing. Our most recent trip, in April 2025, saw us travel to Bristol Cathedral with twenty singers.

We offer scholarships for suitably experienced singers/organists of sixth form age. In turn, many former members of the choir have gone on to take choral and organ scholarships at university, building on the strong foundation in choral music that is provided here.

We always welcome enquiries about membership from singers of all ages, and especially from young people. We have begun running a series of ‘Let’s Sing!’ holiday clubs, as a gentle introduction to choral music for children aged 7-12.

The choir is also open to bookings for weddings and funerals at Holy Trinity, or other local churches.
