New Families Worker for the West Hereford Team!

We are delighted to announce that our new Families Worker is Genevieve Barker. Welcome to the West Hereford Team!
Genevieve began her role this week and we look forward to seeing this important work develop and grow under her leadership.

Genevieve says:
What a joy it is to, at last, officially serve with you in Christ as part of the West Hereford team! Within my role of Families Worker, I am passionate in supporting our families, development of discipleship within our children and young people, and working alongside our partners at Whitecross High School.
Although not originally native to Herefordshire, I am proud to call this beautiful county “home.” Our family emigrated to my husband’s home country almost three years ago from the US, where we are raising our five children (ranging from 1 up to 12 years old). We truly are blessed with all God has given.
Along with the enjoyment and fulfillment of church fellowship, I regularly hike, draw and paint in oils as a way to connect deeper with my faith (and perhaps a much needed quiet respite from our loud household). My artwork is primarily focused on local sites and landscapes, as well as portraiture. Herefordshire is certainly a breathtaking muse to any artist and wonderful place to quiet one’s mind to hear the Lord.
As I begin this journey within the West Hereford team of churches, please know my heart is always open for your thoughts, ideas and experience in how we can nurture and strengthen our community.
