Retired Priest, The Rev’d Dr Sean Cathie, celebrates 50 years of Ordination, at a service at All Saints.
The second lockdown had just been announced. Churches were once again asked to close their doors for a time to keep others safe. Morale across the country was low, and this, All Saints Day, was to be our last service for a month.
But there was joy in the midst of our anxiety and sadness because we were celebrating the faithful ministry over 50 years of The Reverend Dr Sean Cathie.
Sean joined the All Saints congregation fairly recently, but has very quickly become part of the All Saints family; leading services, preaching both in person and online, offering wisdom and great experience, and willing to get involved in a number of ways.
Sean is married to The Reverend Elizabeth Cathie who is Vicar in the St Weonards Benefice. I wonder how many years they could claim between them!
We were delighted that he, and we, were able to celebrate the wonderful milestone of 50 years of ordained ministry.
Thank you, Sean, for a beautiful service, and for sharing it with us.
