Three Choirs Festival 2018 – Holy Trinity

The world’s oldest classical music festival returns to Hereford this summer. With over 75 concerts, talks, workshops and recitals taking place at venues throughout the city, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Throughout the week, Holy Trinity will play host to some fantastic chamber concerts and song recitals, performed by big names such as James Gilchrist and Jack Leibeck.

30th July – 11:30am – £27, £22
James Gilchrist
The great tenor delves into the pilgrim spirit with a programme of romantic song by Schubert, Jonathan Dove and Vaughn Williams.

30th July – 2:30pm – £5, children FREE*
Family Event: Carousel Clarinet Duo.
A lively, interactive introduction to the clarinets for tiny tots and their brothers and sisters.

31st July – 3pm – £27, £22, FREE*
Gould Piano Trio
The renowned trio is joined by celebrated clarinettist Robert Plane for a colourful, lyric programme including Messaien’s iconic Quartet for the End of Time. 

1st August – 11:15am – £27, £22
Ruby Hughes
The acclaimed soprano reflects on the profound impact of parenthood with romantic song by Mahler, Ives and Britten.

3rd August – 11am – £12
Organ Recital
The second in the festival’s RCO Young Organists recital series is given by George Herbert.

Clare Hammond
The dazzlingly virtuosic pianist presents a programme of piano music that spans over four centuries including evocative music by Debussy and Lili Boulanger

*Under 26 year olds can get FREE tickets to Trio Dali and the Gould Trio thanks to the support of the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.
