We have a new Curate!

We are delighted to welcome Jo Burden to the West Hereford Team as our new curate. Jo was licensed as a lay-worker in the cathedral on Sunday 5th July, and will be ordained, all being well, later in September.

We look forward to seeing how God will work through Jo over the next 3 or so years.

Jo says:

“I am looking forward to serving alongside you all, to getting to know you all and worshipping with you. In this time I’m hoping to learn more about myself, more about God and of course more about all of you. I’m also looking forward to getting really stuck into life and really put down roots. That’s something I’ve been lacking over the last few years as there’s been lots of chopping and changing.

I’d love to explore some creative ways of worshipping but most importantly I feel constantly called to be – to be with you, to be alongside, to be a presence and to be a worshipping community. What that looks like now is different to what that would have looked like when I agreed to the post, but I think that God’s got some really exciting stuff in store for us. So, I look forward to seeing you all soon – whether that’s on Zoom, down the end of a telephone or in your front gardens and on doorsteps. And hopefully at some point we’ll be able to worship all together as the body of Christ.”
