The June 2026 edition of TeamTalk is out, with news from across the West Hereford Team and Breinton Parish.
Jonathan writes on belonging, taking Trinity Sunday as his starting point: God is not a solitary figure but a relationship, and that pattern runs through parish life too. Archdeacon Derek Chedzey contributes a reflection on difference and what scripture says about how we treat those unlike ourselves.


The big news this month is the arrival of the Revd Christine Cattanach as part-time Assistant Curate, licensed on 1st June. She will be welcomed at All Saints and Holy Trinity on Sunday 21st June and at St Michael’s on Sunday 28th June.

Part four of Becoming takes up community: why no one actually grows alone, and what it costs to stay with difficult people long enough for something true to grow. Rev’d Dr Sally Welch of the Kington Benefice contributes a piece on pilgrimage as a form of prayer and encounter with God.

Other features include Jean Thomson’s Down Memory Lane on Private Henry Lea of the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry, killed in action near Loos in April 1917; a report from the Hereford Diocesan Guild of Bellringers’ Festival, celebrating its 140th anniversary; and the Eco Thought reflecting on Love your Burial Ground Week, Churches Count on Nature, and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s BeeWalk scheme. The Saint of the Month is Petroc of Cornwall (4th June).

Coming up: St Michael’s Summer Fete at Breinton House on Sunday 5th July (1pm to 4pm); the Breinton Village Hall quiz on Friday 26th June in aid of Breast Cancer Now; and Epic Explorers holiday club at Hereford Cathedral, 19th to 21st August.
The Traherne Festival runs 6th to 8th June, with the Sunday eucharist at All Saints Hereford led by the Bishop.
